About the Job
We aim to grow our business unit focused on quality assurance tools and are seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Hamburg, Germany.
Our QA tool tests applications without human interaction, the Autonomous Tester. Like autonomous driving, where the driver of a car is replaced by a software system, we aim to assist the tester in the context of application testing, primarily the testing of graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
You will join as a Software Engineer in the Autonomous Testing project and can shape the future of testing. On the way, you will work with different GUI toolkits, on different platforms, and will face various technical challenges. We are looking for someone capable of abstract thinking and interested in identifying pragmatic solutions for our customers. For that, we are working closely together with pilot customers and discussing each solution with a team of enthusiastic software engineers. Naturally, we utilize our existing QA tools, such as Squish, and you will have the chance to extend and improve them further.
You will
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of our Autonomous Tester
- Tackle diverse technical challenges related to application testing, especially within the context of graphical user interfaces (GUIs)
- Apply abstract thinking to identify and implement pragmatic solutions for efficient testing processes
- Utilize existing QA tools, such as Squish, and actively contribute to their extension and improvement
- Seize the opportunity to enhance the functionality and effectiveness of QA tools to enable comprehensive application testing for our customers
- Actively participate in team discussions to contribute ideas and solutions
About You
- Solid experience with Python 3
- Experience with C/C++ and the Qt framework
- Experience with different platforms: Linux, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android
- Experience with different UI toolkits: Qt Widgets, Qt QML, web-based UI toolkits, etc.
- Experience with bug tracking and version control systems; we use git, GitLab, and Jira
- Experience in AI/ML and data analysis will be a plus
- Knowledgeable in graph theory
- Ability to provide creative solutions and to think freely
- Abstract thinking and ability to generalize concepts and problems
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team
- Enthusiastic about solving challenging problems
- Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written (English is our corporate language)
