About the Job

We are looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to lead our R&D team based in Hamburg, Germany. Our team focuses on the development of industry-leading tools used by professionals worldwide.

Key products include:

  • Squish: A powerful tool for automating graphical user interface (GUI) testing across various platforms.
  • Coco: A comprehensive code coverage tool for multiple programming languages.
  • Test Center: A robust central server for managing and visualizing test results.

You will

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of skilled C++ software engineers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development and product management, to align priorities and planning.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Squish, our leading tool for automating GUI testing.
  • Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions within your team and across other teams.
  • Continuously enhance and expand our products by staying updated on the latest technologies, particularly in GUI automation.
  • Engage with customers to address bug reports and feature requests, ensuring our products meet their needs.

About you

  • At least 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team lead role
  • Proven experience in C++ is a must
  • Experience in developing test automation tools, particularly GUI automation, is highly desirable
  • Experience in managing diverse teams is a must
  • Knowledge of Qt framework and scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or Ruby is a plus
  • Skilled in articulating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate clear and open communication within the team and across departments for effective collaboration
  • Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written
