About the Role

We develop the world's leading cross-platform C++ framework, and we are looking for skilled software engineers to join our team.

In this position, you will help us develop and maintain Qt's multimedia features on iOS and the various platforms supported by Qt. This is also an opportunity to work across the Qt framework and collaborate with people responsible for the graphics and UI functionality in Qt.

In your daily work, you will be surrounded by a friendly team of experts and juniors. You will have the opportunity to broaden and deepen your knowledge in all aspects of software development and help the team build more expertise in iOS development.

You will

  • As an iOS developer, design, develop, and maintain Qt's C++ multimedia features
  • Actively engage in code reviews to ensure top-of-the-class software
  • Coach colleagues and contributors
  • Maintain and improve Qt's documentation and examples
  • Take ownership of bugs reported by customers and open-source users
  • Contribute to keeping Qt a rewarding and inspiring workplace
  • Grow experience in at least one other platform
  • Contribute to building iOS expertise in the team

About You

  • Strong C++ programming skills
  • Proven experience with iOS development, application life cycle management, and development tools/languages
  • Experience with software development processes, CI, and code reviews
  • Experience with multimedia or audio/video processing
  • Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written (English is our corporate language)

Beneficial skills

  • Experience with Qt
  • Experience with working in large code bases
  • Experience with cross-platform development, especially embedded development
  • Experience with FFmpeg and iOS multimedia frameworks
  • Passionate about software quality
  • iOS/macOS GPU programming experience
