About the Role

The Qt Company is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our Acquisition (Net New) team, covering the DACH region. This role can be based in either our Berlin or Paris office.

As a Net New Sales professional, your primary focus will be on engaging with large enterprises in the consumer, industrial, defense & space, or automotive markets. You'll take a proactive approach by identifying new opportunities, acquiring new accounts, and providing consultative guidance to help organizations harness the full potential of Qt to achieve their business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with C-level executives such as Heads of R&D, Engineering Managers, Engineering Directors, Product Managers, and Project Managers within technical development organizations.
  • Focus on prospecting new enterprise-sized accounts (with a turnover of over €1B+).
  • Follow up on inbound leads generated by Marketing.
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales proposals to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with sales management to strategize and target key accounts for effective sales outcomes.
  • Create a structured weekly calendar to ensure alignment with sales targets.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, products, services, and competitors in Qt's market space.
  • Provide consistent activity reports, accurate sales forecasts, and professional account planning on a weekly basis.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of sales experience, with 3-5 years specifically in software sales for the consumer, industrial, defense & space, or automotive markets.
  • Proven experience in developing new business opportunities in the DACH region, with a focus on enterprise sales and complex solution selling.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
  • A strong track record of meeting or exceeding measurable goals.
  • An existing contact network within large industrial companies is a strong plus.
  • Ability to act as a trusted technology advisor to prospects and customers.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with strong collaboration abilities.
  • Fluency in English and native-level proficiency in German.
  • Familiarity with software development tools, the software development lifecycle, and sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC).
  • A technical background is preferred, ideally with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, combined with a robust sales track record.
