Preferred languages for this role include Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English (UK native), Dutch, French, or Italian. Fluency in these languages will enable you to build strong relationships and deliver exceptional service to our international clients.
About the Role
The Renewals Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of renewal opportunities within a designated territory, ensuring early and on-time bookings while driving customer retention and revenue growth. This role is a blend of sales, customer success, and account management, requiring proactive engagement with clients in close coordination with internal teams. Success in this role is measured by renewal rate percentages, timely renewals, and identified upsell opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Renewal Management:
- Achieve and exceed defined renewal rate targets
- Manage and close renewal opportunities with measurable outcomes.
- Customer Communication: Maintain regular communication (phone, email, online meetings) with customers, ensuring a positive experience and identifying any issues early.
- Opportunity Identification: Discover and quantify potential upsell and cross-sell opportunities, contributing to an additional revenue growth target.
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with account managers and customer success teams to align customer strategies and communication.
- Share insights from customer engagements that help refine sales strategies.
- CRM Utilization & Reporting:
- Use Salesforce to document customer interactions and track renewal progress.
- Provide regular (e.g., weekly/monthly) sales forecasts and updates on the renewals pipeline.
- Pricing & Value-Based Discussions:
- Conduct pricing discussions using value-based selling tactics, factoring in historical pricing data and customer-specific contexts.
About You
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in renewals, sales, or a related role within a high-growth software environment.
- Experience/understanding of software development cycle/life cycle considered an advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Proficiency in Salesforce and other customer success tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, English (UK native), Dutch, French, or Italian
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating accountability and initiative.
- Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent
