About the Role

You will work on the tooling of Qt, the world's leading cross-platform C++ framework. Qt enables writing powerful applications on many platforms, from embedded to desktop and mobile. Various tools and domain-specific languages make it particularly easy to write, debug, and profile, especially visually stunning applications.

You will join a skilled team that focuses on the build process and related tooling. Our build system of choice is CMake, the most popular cross-platform build environment for C++. Here we tackle some unique challenges to make the build and packaging process of Qt, and of applications using Qt, both convenient and powerful.

You will also join a vibrant community of Qt contributors and users that constantly exchange new ideas, insights and contributions. This is also reflected in our work culture, we are cooperative, provide great mentoring, growing, and learning together in a friendly environment.

You will

  • Write robust, modern C++ and CMake code
  • Work independently, managing your tasks and projects
  • Focus on quality: continuous integration, testing and code reviews
  • Use the languages and tools required for the complete delivery of a feature/functionality
  • Regularly use software engineering practices such as debugging, profiling, version control, and automated testing
  • Work with publicly available code and materials
  • Work on existing code across the product and on architectural level
  • Collaborate across different teams and products
  • Help others in their development tasks and capable of leading a development project

About You

  • Experience with CMake
  • Experience with C++, and a scripting language
  • Experience with at least one development platform (Windows, Linux, macOS)
  • Have a focus on quality – keywords are continuous integration, testing and code reviews
  • Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written (English is our corporate language)

Beneficial skills

  • Experience in contributing to open-source projects
  • Experience with different target platforms and cross-compilation
