About the Role

We are looking for seasoned software expert to help shape our software solutions for low end embedded systems. The position is open either in our office in Oulu, Finland or office in Berlin, Germany.

You will work on the world's leading cross-platform C++ framework, where you will contribute to developing solutions that make life easy for embedded application developers. You will spend most of your time on technical tasks. In addition, you will be assisting the team achieving their goals and growing their skills.

You will

  • Lead the design and architecture of an application development framework
  • Work hands-on with the world's leading cross-platform C++ framework, focusing on microcontroller-based systems
  • Take initiative on topics related to requirements, design, architecture, code and testing for different parts of Qt for MCUs product
  • Facilitate open communication and knowledge sharing within the team and across R&D
  • Communicate well, both online and face-to-face
  • Participate in coaching and mentoring team members, helping them grow their technical skills

About You

  • Extensive experience with the C++ programming language
  • In-depth understanding of software design and architecture principles
  • Experience with low-level embedded systems especially with microcontrollers
  • Familiar with Scrum Development Process
  • Familiar with Jira / Confluence /Git
  • Ability to work within a diverse team of experts on multiple sites
  • Ability to keep information flowing within the team and with other stakeholders
  • Language requirements
    • Advanced English communication skills both verbal and written (English is our corporate language)

Beneficial skills

  • Proficiency in graphics programming on embedded devices
  • Leadership and/or mentoring experience in managing software development teams
  • Ability to show the big picture/vision to the team as well as help break it into smaller tasks for the team
  • Experience with debugging and profiling on embedded devices
