About the Job

We seek a talented and motivated Engineering Team Lead with expertise in C++ and Embedded systems to guide our team of professional Software Engineers. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical and managerial skills, with a passion for driving impactful backstage solutions that enhance our internal tools and customer experiences. As a team lead for a group of developers, you help create an inspiring team environment, facilitate an open and engaging communication culture, and support the team in achieving their goals. You will lead and motivate team members and represent the team towards other company functions and Qt customers.

As a team leader, your mission will be to create software that simplifies and optimizes the integration of Qt with embedded devices. This role offers the unique opportunity to work closely with embedded hardware and software while fostering team growth and innovation.

You will:

Leadership & Management

  • Lead and inspire a Scrum team, ensuring efficient task management and delivery
  • Oversee hiring processes, participate in candidate evaluations, and build a cohesive team
  • Conduct line management tasks, including performance reviews, mentoring, and team development
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and customers to ensure seamless integration of solutions
  • Organize and lead team meetings to align project goals and strategies
  • Own end-to-end development

Technical Responsibilities

  • Contribute to fixing bugs and resolving technical challenges as needed
  • Develop and maintain Qt-based tools for internal teams working on embedded systems
  • Experiment with real hardware, gaining hands-on experience and ensuring hardware-software integration
  • Provide a holistic project overview, ensuring alignment between technical and business objectives
  • Communicate with vendors and Qt customers, support other internal teams
  • Conduct customer demonstrations, develop prototypes, and create proofs of concept for the software product

About you:

  • Strong background in C++ and embedded systems, with hands-on experience in embedded Linux and Yocto Linux
  • Proficiency in developing tools using Qt, particularly for embedded devices
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams, including task prioritization and team development
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and Scrum practices
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to balance technical and managerial responsibilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Creative, adaptable, and innovative mindset
  • Enthusiasm for exploring hardware interactions beyond programming
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring team collaboration and project alignment
