About the Job

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to strengthen our research and development of static program analyses for C and C++.

As a (Senior) Software Engineer for C / C++ compiler you are responsible for developing and maintaining our C / C++ compiler in a team of highly professional experts. The C / C++ compilers and toolchains translate our customers’ code into different internal representations for our analyses. These analyses help our customers to identify bugs and other issues early in their development process, being part of the overall quality assurance for their software. Our world needs secure software that we can rely on, and we have the perfect tool to ensure this. Our international customers, including well-known names in the automotive, healthcare, automation, electronics, transport and aerospace industries, rely on our software analysis solutions to ensure that high standards of software quality and security are met. By improving our C / C++ compiler, you will be extending the scope of these analyses towards modern C++ constructs as well as towards C / C++ dialects.

You will:

  • Developing and maintaining our C / C++ compiler
  • Improving the interaction between the compiler and downstream analyses
  • Supporting customers and handling customer's issues

About you:

  • have a university degree in computer science
  • want to write robust and maintainable code in C++ and Python, and you already have experience with these languages
  • have experience developing compilers, language frontends or domain-specific languages
  • are self-organized and enjoy solving problems, both independently and by collaborating with your colleagues
  • have a focus on quality - keywords include continuous integration, testing, code reviews, and of course static analysis
  • are interested in program analysis, compiler construction the inner workings of programming languages
  • can communicate effectively in English and optionally also in German
