We are seeking a software expert to lead the Professional Services team in Korea.

As the manager of a group of developers, you will create an inspiring team environment, foster open and engaging communication, and support the team in achieving their goals.

Your responsibilities will include leading and motivating team members, representing the team to other functions in the company and customers, and actively contributing to development work.

This role requires a focus on building a strong team culture, supporting the team in achieving their goals, and fostering skill growth. Additionally, you will dedicate time to technical tasks.

You will:

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to successfully complete projects, meet revenue targets, and deliver business outcomes while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Work with the Professional Services Director to establish and manage goals and responsibilities for Professional Services Engineers.
  • Work alongside the Project Manager to propose, scope, and price professional services Statements of Work, and oversee a sales team.
  • Assist in developing thought leadership, event-specific, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Provide hands-on technical preparation and presentation work for key accounts to demonstrate the value of professional services.
  • Ensure Professional Services Engineers exceed corporate expectations by achieving billable utilization targets, as well as demonstrating strong core knowledge, communication, and execution skills.
  • Set and maintain high standards for team member expectations and empower the team to meet them.
  • Encourage continuous learning and growth among team members to become trusted advisors to clients.
  • Monitor team performance, offer timely feedback, and provide development assistance as needed.
  • Manage resource assignments and staffing levels, including recruitment as necessary.
  • Identify and implement process and tool improvements based on experience leading teams of project managers and PS engineers supporting external customers.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead services team members toward optimal performance and career development.
  • Ensure service delivery model prioritizes quality, cost-effective delivery, and customer success outcomes.
  • Stay knowledgeable and up-to-date on company products.

About You:

The Manager, Professional Services role requires a high level of technical expertise, as the individual will need to understand and actively participate in the day-to-day activities of Professional Services Engineers while also managing the team. Additional requirements for this role include:

  • Extensive experience and advanced insight into embedded development.
  • Proven ability to provide and receive positive and constructive feedback.
  • Adaptability to environmental changes and reflection on both successes and failures.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and Korean are required.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other managers and execute strategies effectively.
  • Established track record in software/technology sales, consulting, and management.
  • Ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
